  1. This is really good information to be shared. As for me, my family adopted a pair of siamese cat about 6 months ago. But unfortunately, the male cat died 1 month later and now, it is hard to find other siamese male cats for breeding at my area. My female cat is nearly 1 years old now and have gone through two heat cycle, so I am worried if she might develop this cystic ovaries later. In your post said that, too many heat cycle unbreed might develop this disease, so how many heat cycle which is ‘too many’?

    • As I mentioned, the advice of experienced breeder is that you may start breeding after the third heat cycle or just wait until your queen reaches to a year. Regarding the issue you raise, the longer you keep your female cat after 1 year old the higher risk she would get Pyometra. But there is always exception cases.
